Accident Victims Know That First Call Must Be To Personal Injury Attorney

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

Injured? Most people who have suffered injuries – car, truck, motorcycle, bus, slip & fall etc. - just pay their medical bills, take what the insurance company offers and go on their merry way, at times living with longer term physical and psychological damage from the accident. Most people don’t explore their legal rights after the accident.

Don’t be a statistic. Don’t be one of those people that was negligently, willfully or carelessly injured by another person or a corporation/manufacturer and for some reason doesn’t speak up. Yes, it can be frightening and confusing to speak to a lawyer. But know that lawyers are standing by to speak to you. Lawyers that are incredibly sensitive to what you and your loved ones may have just gone through. Lawyers that treat what you say as confidential. Personal injury lawyers that will use their experience to help you through what can be a very difficult time, after you or a loved one has been injured.

Have you or a loved one been injured?
Have you been involved in an auto accident?
Have you been involved in a truck accident?
Have you been involved in a motorcycle accident?
Have you been involved in a drunk driving accident?
Have you been involved in a slip and fall accident?
Have you been involved in a workplace accident?

If you answered yes to any of these questions or suspect that you or a loved one was injured in a negligent, willful or careless accident, you are entitled to have a free, confidential consultation with an experienced personal injury attorney. One of the lawyers at the personal injury law firm will help you and your family determine what the best nest step will be. If it is determined that you have a case, the lawyer may help you deal with the insurance companies, medical professionals and any other legal or corporate entity that is involved. Most importantly, if it is determined that negligence exists, the attorney(s) assigned to your case will fight on your behalf to get the most financial compensation allowed under the law – this may include medical bills, replacement of property, awards for emotional or psychological damages. In the case of a wrongful death, the lawsuit(s) may seek financial relief for medical expenses, funeral expenses, lost earnings, lost pension benefits, loss companionship and even punitive damages. In most situations, the amount of money recovered during a wrongful death lawsuit is quite considerable.

Injuries While Traveling Can Turn Into Legal Hassles

Monday, February 6th, 2012

Our skies are as safe as they have ever been. This is a fact. But, it doesn’t mean that injuries or even deaths don’t occur while Americans are traveling for pleasure and for work. Tragically, they do. Every single day. Its important that the people and corporations that are responsible for these injuries pay for what they have done.

Even minor scrapes, bruises – or worse! - can linger and after the trip turn into a more chronic and costly injury. It’s important for every traveler to know that they have rights and if/when they are negligently injured by an airline or airport that they may be entitled to financial compensation for their injuries. Tragically, American travelers die and in some cases the deaths could have been avoided and are what the legal profession calls “wrongful deaths”.

If you, a loved one or a co-worker has suffered an injury of any kind while traveling it is a good idea to know your legal rights. Why? Because is the injury was caused by the negligence of an airline, an airport owner or any individual employed by a company that facilitated the travel, the injured party may be entitled to financial relief/compensation for the injuries suffered.

Aviation accidents include most any injury, illness or death that is the result of a negligent, careless or willful act of an employee, representative, machine or corporation. Even if you “think” and do not “know” if you have bee injured or not, even if you just suspect negligence and are not sure, it may be a smart idea to take a few moments and find out what your legal rights are. Personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits are complicated legal undertaking and require experienced personal injury law firms to handle your case. Make sure that you seek out skilled personal injury lawyers that have a proven track record representing injured parties.

Injuries can literally happen anywhere at anytime:

Have you been injured in an airport terminal?

Injured while getting on or off of a plane?

Did an airline employee injure you?

Did a broken piece of equipment injure you?

Did you slip and fall anywhere in an airport or aboard a plane?

Did dangerous plane movement injure you?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, there is one more simple, straight forward question for you to answer: do you suspect that the negligence, careless or willful act of another caused you or your loved one’s injury? If that answer is yes you should be fully aware of your legal rights and the absolute best way to do that is to speak to a personal injury attorney that has experience in aviation liability lawsuits. There are experienced legal professionals out there that will attend to you and your loved ones every legal requirement. Lawyers that will investigate the injury, did deep into the cause and the responsible parties and, if negligence exists, fight for the financial compensation you deserve for the injuries suffered.

Navy Man Dies in Multiple Car Accident

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

Last week Thursday four cars were involved in a major accident on State Route 15 near Ocean Boulevard.  A man enlisted in the Navy was driving his Jeep Cherokee SUV at high speed down the highway.  In an unusual driving maneuver, the driver turned right suddenly and lost control of the Jeep.  The Jeep rammed into the side of a Honda Civic and then smashed into the rear of Cadillac De Ville.  The impact caused the Cadillac to collide with a Toyota Corolla.

Due to the high-speed impact the Jeep flipped landing on top of the Cadillac.  The drives in all 4 cars were men with 3 of them being in the military.

The unnamed driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead on the scene.  Two of the other drivers sustained injuries.  The only uninjured driver was in the Honda Civic, the first car hit.  The driver of the Toyota was complaining about both neck and head pain before being transported to a local hospital.  The driver of the Cadillac was also being evaluated and treated for possible neck and head injuries.

This deadly crash is certain to have started an avalanche of investigative work and legal wrangling.  The insurance companies for all four drivers will be trying to determine responsibility for paying for damages and medical costs.  It just makes sense.  They do not want to spend money they do not need to spend.

Now here is an important question for us to consider when we think about this accident.  Was the single navy man in the Jeep the only one responsible?  Should his insurance company be the only one to pay for all of the damages?  His Jeep never hit the Toyota Corolla.

Those are questions most of us have no answer for and hope we never need to know.  What would you do if you were the driver of one of those other cars and an insurance company called you and started asking questions?   Would you answer them?

When an insurance adjuster from one of the other companies shows up at your door and hands you papers to sign what should you do?  You want the money.  You desperately want to get your car fixed and to pay for your medical bills.  Have you ever stopped to think about what happens when you sign those papers?

Often in the midst of all the confusion someone signs a paper which gets them a check.  When they signed those papers they may have just guaranteed they will not get another cent of money even if there are more damages discovered on their car or they have physical problems which show up later for the accident.

Making decision on the spur of the moment without consulting an wrongful death attorney can leave you financially vulnerable.  Take a few extra hours or days to get everything done right and make sure you really get the settlement you deserve.  If you are not 100% sure of what is put in front of you do not take a risk.  It is painful enough to overcome an auto accident.  You do not want to overcome a lapse in judgment, too.

Wrongful Death Cases Explored

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Medical malpractice and wrongful death are cases involving lawsuits or claims where another’s negligence, product, or conduct caused death. These cases may involve family members of decedents, administrators, estates, and executors.

Most of the time, the period after suffering the fatality could be overwhelming. Experts recommend that you communicate with the investigators. Of course, it also helps if you have a lawyer who will remain objective and understanding in dealing with the parties involved.

Aside from this, you could also be involved in the estate’s personal injury lawsuits and claims. Most likely, these cases were unresolved before the death of the decedent. For example, when somebody was injured from a car accident before death, it may not necessarily lead to a lawsuit against the person responsible for it.

First, an investigation should be conducted on whether the death of the decedent was due to the injuries sustained from the car accident or not. Sure, the case of the deceased will still proceed; however, it may involve unique challenges due to the absence of the decedent’s direct testimony.

Bear in mind that the estate attorney you need to hire should have experience in handling or litigating death claims. Also, he or she should not have conflict of interest between the litigants and the estate. If you wish to find a new attorney or change your existing one, it’s best to seek referral from an attorney directory online.
